Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, says the South-West security outfit codenamed Amotekun Corps will soon be inaugurated in the Yewa area of the state.
Abiodun explain that his administration decided to launch the security outfit first in Yewaland because of the peculiar problems in the area including herdsmen attacks.
The governor said this on Thursday at the Executive Chambers of the Governor’s Office at Oke-Mosan in Abeokuta, the state capital. He stated that the recruitment for Amotekun in Yewaland is almost done and that during recruitment, consideration was given to people who are from the immediate corridor, who know the terrain very well as that is the principle of Amotekun.
He concluded by saying that all those that will work in the corridor are those who know the area very well.
